By accessing or using Kerosyne, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the platform.

2. Description of Service

Kerosyne is a non-custodial trading automation platform. We provide software that executes trades on your behalf via exchange APIs. We do not hold, custody, or control your funds.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the platform for illegal activities
  • Attempt to circumvent risk limits or security measures
  • Share your account credentials with others
  • Reverse engineer or decompile the platform
  • Use the platform to manipulate markets or engage in wash trading
  • Abuse API rate limits or overload our systems
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations

4. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the security of your account credentials
  • All activity that occurs under your account
  • Ensuring your API keys have appropriate permissions (read + trade only)
  • Monitoring your positions and risk exposure
  • Complying with your exchange's terms of service

5. Subscription Terms

5.1 Billing

Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in advance. All fees are non-refundable.

5.2 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain access until then.

5.3 Plan Changes

Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated. Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing cycle.

5.4 Price Changes

We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. Existing subscribers will be grandfathered at their current rate for 6 months.

6. Refund Policy

All sales are final. We do not offer refunds. You may cancel your subscription at any time and retain access until the end of your billing period.

7. API Usage Rules

If you use our API (Pro+ only):

  • Respect rate limits (300 requests/minute for Pro+)
  • Do not share your API keys
  • Do not use the API to build competing products
  • We may revoke API access for abuse or violations

8. Risk Disclosure

Trading involves substantial risk of loss.

  • You may lose some or all of your capital
  • Past performance does not guarantee future results
  • Automated trading does not eliminate risk
  • Market conditions can change rapidly
  • Technical failures may occur
  • You are solely responsible for your trading decisions

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Kerosyne is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
  • We are not liable for trading losses, missed opportunities, or system downtime
  • Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the last 12 months
  • We are not responsible for exchange outages, API failures, or market conditions
  • We are not liable for unauthorized access to your account if you fail to secure your credentials

10. Disclaimers

Kerosyne is not:

  • A financial advisor or broker
  • Registered with any financial regulatory authority
  • Providing investment advice or recommendations
  • Guaranteeing profits or returns
  • Responsible for tax reporting or compliance

You should consult with a qualified financial advisor before trading.

11. Termination

11.1 By You

You may close your account at any time via Settings → Account → Close Account.

11.2 By Us

We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

  • Violate these Terms of Service
  • Engage in fraudulent or abusive behavior
  • Fail to pay subscription fees
  • Use the platform for illegal activities

11.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your access to the platform will cease immediately. We will retain logs for 90 days, then permanently delete your data.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Kerosyne harmless from any claims, losses, or damages arising from your use of the platform, violation of these terms, or violation of any third-party rights.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [Your Jurisdiction]. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of [Your Jurisdiction].

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or dashboard notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
